My whole life I have lived either in a coastal town or tropical climate where Fall wasn't really a thing. Sure we bought pumpkins, went to high school football games, and had crock pot meals, but that was the extent of it. It was not until we moved to Kansas City that I really got a taste sweet Autumn in all her glory! There were mums and pumpkins on every porch, beautiful, browning leaves on every tree, incredible fall days with cool fall nights, perfect for fires and mulled wine, especially after the long, humid summer. Let's not forget apple picking, cider donuts, and mind boggling corn mazes! There really was something in the air that made me want to adapt with the climate and prepare for the winter that would soon be approaching.
We are not in the midwest any longer but my mindset has not changed. I've documented a few of the things I do during this time of year to really embrace this time of year, because is it me, or does Fall pass us by in the blink of an eye compared to other seasons!?
