I am one of those people who spend more time planning for my vacation then actually being on vacation. For me, it just makes an experience I am looking forward to last that much longer! So when we booked our tickets for Amsterdam + Paris earlier this year, you know I was researching the best places to eat see, and stay. Unlike my husband, I travel light. It probably helps that I am only 5'3 so all my clothes are relatively small, but regardless of that, my goal no matter how long the trip, is to fit everything I need in a small carry on rolling suitcase. It just makes traveling any distance a much more enjoyable experience! Don't ask me how I know this (ahem, sore shoulders the first few days of a trip from heavy bags and broken suitcase handles before even reaching my final destination - groan).
From what I had gathered, Paris and Amsterdam in the Fall are. . .wet, so I tried to pack with that in mind but also with some flexibility. Fortunately for us, we had dry and mild weather until our very last day! But who can even complain about a light drizzle your last day in Paris? If anything, it made the city that much more romantic.
So, what's a girl to wear in a city with cooler weather, lots of walking + biking and still hoping to look kinda cute? Here's a look at some of what I packed.
The last 2 times I was in Europe, I was extremely unprepared for how cold it was but fortunately this time around the 3rd time was the charm and I am rather pleased that everything I brought was worn and practical. What are things you pack to wear in Europe when the season changes?
